AYURVEDIC MEDICINES

Ayurvedic Medicines belongs to Ayurveda , the health science, practised and used in India from ancient days to modern days . There are reports that this science is started even 5000 years back by the Rushees or Saints called Charaka and Sushruta . This is approved and practised to treat few chronic diseases .

Ayurvedic medicines generally prepared from plant sources such as leaves, barks, seeds, roots, flowers and fruits with out any extraction . This crude forms are be made into a paste . dried and made to a tablet or it can be taken as powder .

Few Ayurvedic Medicines made from Animal source but in the form of oils or active ingradients .

Sometimes Ayurvedic medicines are added with minerals such as Gold, Silver and Mercury to Herbal or Animal formulations to potentiate the action .

Most of the times this Ayurvedic medicines are considered as safe drugs with out any side effects, but advice has to be taken from Ayurvedic Physician, when minerals are combined, to avoid serious side effects on kidney .
