Europian Medicines Agency is located in London, United Kingdom . Formerly it was known as EMEA .

It is a decentralised body of Europian Union for the evaluation of the medicinal products for the Europian countries . In other words, EMA functions are similar to US FDA , but in a decentralised way .

Europian Medicines Agency main role is protection and promotion of public and animal health through the evaluation and supervision of medicines for human and veternary practise .
The Europian Medicines Agency started in 1995, for the supervision of the medicinal products throughout the Europe .
Now the EMA director is Thomas Lonngren .
